About the Business
Back in 2011, Ross and Tom saw the need for a more local fitness facility for the residents and workers of Martock and the surrounding villages. After Ross Sourced the base, work was started on transforming the 3 unused units, formally a hairdressers / Rug showroom and general storage area. Tom took control of the transformation with his handyman skills and contacts in the building trade, and used local tradesman and family members to help with the painting and decorating - with this the gym was transformed into a bright and usable area.
Ross worked on sourcing the equipment and the all important insurance, first aid courses etc - to ensure the gym was a fully qualified, safely functioning establishment! Along with assisting Tom in the main transformation of the gym. Over 3 years later, and with a great team behind it, MFC is a thriving village gym with a loyal and local membership base, where new people come through the doors every day.
